Jefferson County Title Company has acquired Beaumont Title Company’s Nederland branch office, located at 3536 Highway 365 in Nederland.  Commenting on the transaction, Jefferson County Title president Larry Crocker explains:  “Beaumont Title is a wholly owned subsidiary of First American Title Insurance Company, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange as ‘FAF’.  First American is reducing the number of its offices in smaller Texas metropolitan areas such as ours, in order to focus on the larger Texas metropolitan areas such as Dallas and Houston.  Jefferson County Title stepped in to take over First American/Beaumont Title’s Nederland branch.”

Customers of the former Beaumont Title Company Nederland branch, now Jefferson County Title’s Nederland branch, will be unaffected by this change.  “All employees at this office will remain in place,” states branch manager Beth Krebs, “and all transactions scheduled to close at this office will close on time.”  

In connection with this acquisition, Jefferson County Title has closed its branch office at 8737 Ninth Avenue in Nederland.  All files scheduled to close there have been transferred to the branch office at 3536 Highway 365.  Customers with questions or transactions pending with Jefferson County Title Company’s now-closed Ninth Avenue location should call the new location, at (409) 729-2600.
